Uninstall Ideagen Quality Control Professional (formerly InspectionXpert) -old

This article will show you how to completely uninstall Ideagen Quality Control Professional (formerly InspectionXpert).
Uninstalling Ideagen Quality Control Professional will not impact any saved projects, or any project or Excel template that you've created.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Click on the Windows or Search icon on your taskbar
  2. Type 'Uninstall' 
  3. Click on 'Add or Remove Programs' 
  4. Scroll down to or type 'InspectionXpert' in 'Search this list'
  5. Click on 'Ideagen Quality Control x64' or 'InspectionXpert OnDemand 2.0 x64'
  6. Click on 'Uninstall'
  7. Select “Remove the application from this computer”, and click ‘OK”
  8. Once the uninstall process has completed, you will need to navigate to the following
    folder in the Windows file explorer:  %userprofile%\Appdata\Local\Apps
  9. Delete the “2.0” folder
  10. If you intend to perform a re-install of InspectionXpert, you will need to end the
    Microsoft ClickOnce Launcher Engine from your Windows Task Manager.
  11. To do this Open the task manager by typing “Task Manager” in the Windows search
    bar, and selecting “Task Manager”
  12. In the Task Manager “Details” tab search for “dsfvc.exe”.  It will be listed alphabetically.
  13. If it is not visible, you can exit the task manager- the uninstall process is complete.
  14. Otherwise, select the file “dsfvc.exe” and then click the “End task” button.
  15. In the pop-up window, select “End process”
  16. In the event that “dsfvc.exe” appears more than once, end all instances of the task.
  17. The uninstall is now complete.
